Why I May Never Fly Again
Yep, I am totally serious. I went to visit Jean this past weekend in VA Beach, Va(which was a splendid time!) and I had some very interesting travel expeireinces. First off, my flight was cancelled on my way there b/c of bad weather. Whatever. I got that figured out and they booked me on another airline. So yeah. Get there, we have splendid weather, went out, hit the beach...fabu I tell you! The comment of the weekend was when we were out, a guy started dancing by me, and asked me where I was from. I replied with my WI pride "Milwaukee, WI" and he exlaimed with great excitement, "Wow, I am from Louisville, KY"...as if these 2 locations are somehow related? Anyway. Back to my horrific airplane story. So the flight home is when it happened. My flight was TERRIFYING!! I have never been on a plane that was a continous flow of bumping and shaking. I kept looking out the window at the ground and praying to God that I would land on the ground alive. The guy next to me was apparently not scared b/c he slept through the whole ding dong thing! Then I kept thinking about these programs that I had watched on the National Geographic channel about these flights that had crashed. Probably wasn't the best idea for me over-active mind. So then I stared crying. I kid you not. I was pretty much having a panic attack.
And this, my friend, is why I may or may not EVER fly again. I am thinking of taking a train when I travel again. What you all think?
